Well its official, Warner Bros. Television will no longer be doing any business with “Extra” host A.J. Calloway after the studio’s investigation into sexual assault allegations claims made against him.
Warner Bros.Television official statement:
“The company has investigated the claims made into Mr. Calloway’s conduct and he and the company have mutually agreed to part ways.”
No word yet on when the decision was actually made.
Warner Bros. had suspended Calloway before last February. During his suspension, Calloway’s attorney Lisa E. Davis publically stated:
“Mr. Calloway maintains that these unsubstantiated allegations are patently false. He vehemently denies that he ever assaulted anyone and looks forward to clearing his name.”
Now this wasn’t the first time the host landed in hot water, back in 2006 he was arrested after author and activist Sil Lai Abrams claimed he sexually assaulted her; those charges however were eventually dropped. And according to the Daily Beast last January two women came to them accusing Calloway of sexually assaulted them.
Calloway’s statement in February:
“As I have maintained from the beginning, these allegations are not true. When I was first notified about these allegations by law enforcement more than a decade ago, I fully cooperated from the beginning and the case was dismissed.”
Calloway has been a host with “Extra” since 2005.
Well although this is all “alleged” remember when Free hinted towards A.J’s unbearable behavior when they were on BET’s ‘106 and Park’ back in the day?!
What’s your 2 cents?!
