All 3 men were arrested and charged in connection with Mac Miller’s death with accusations of dealing counterfeit oxycodone that resulting in the rapper’s death.
The California federal grand jury handed down the indictments to Cameron Pettit, Stephen Walter and Ryan Reavis in a federal court this week. TMZ first reported that Mac ordered 10 “blues”,(another name for oxycodone), along with some cocaine and Xanax. Prosecutors allege instead of getting oxycodone the pills Mac was given was fake and laced with fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid 50 times more potent than heroin.
Feds allege Mac crushed the pills, snorted them causing his demise.
Here’s how the feds claims the deal went down: Mac went through Pettit, Pettit got the products from Walter and Reavis was the one who actually delivered the drugs from Walter to Pettit.
That’s a lot of transactions and passing of hands!
All 3 are now being charged with conspiring to distribute controlled substances, and distribution of fentanyl causing Miller’s death. Each charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years and a maximum of life without the possibility of parole.
Along with everything else, Walter is also being charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition and faces up to an additional 10 years in prison.
Fentanyl is now considered the number one cause of overdose deaths in the United States.
These guys need to prepare to be made an example of!
What’s your 2 cents?!
