Whitney Houston’s best friend Robyn Crawford is now admitting to the world what we knew all long…that her and the singer had a sexual relationship.
In her new book, “A Song for You: My Life with Whitney Houston” — says she met a 16-year-old Whitney back in 1980 at a summer camp, and their friendship immediately turned sexual and romantic.
Robyn sat down with NBC News telling them it started out with a kiss, and then after a while they started to sleep together. According to Robyn nothing was planned, it just happened.
Robyn then went on to explain Whitney told her they had to stop seeing each other, in fear their relationship would end her music career. And to make matters worse she says there was family pressure.
Robyn says Whitney wanted to keep things on the low, however it was reported people close to the singer say she often flaunted her relationship with Robyn out in public. A source even came out saying he them at the Crillon Hotel in Paris making out in the lobby, with a lot of people watching.
We all know Whitney didn’t give a damn….anyways…
Robyn says Whitney told her that her own mother about their relationship. Her mother a gospel singer allegedlly had issues with them being together, saying it wasn’t natural.
The purpose of her book, Robyn says is to shed more light on who Whitney really was.
The book is set to be released on November 12.
