Foxy was not feeling DJ Envy saying she “dwindled off.”
Foxy Brown did not appreciate what DJ Envy said on a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, and now he has responded. During an interview with Brown’s former manager Don Pooh, Envy asked what happened to Foxy’s career and implied that she “dwindled off.” Foxy responded in a very heated Instagram post and delete where she called him “FISH ASS ENVY.”
In response to her comments, Envy said Brown is “a little delirious.” He went on to explain that he was a DJ for Foxy at one point in her career, but did not specify when.
Envy via The Breakfast Club:
“I used to be with her writing team that used to help her write…I actually produced a couple of joints for her I believe.”
Envy co-produced the title track from her 2001 studio album Broken Silence. He then recalled the last show he DJed for her. According to him Foxy got paid $70,000 to perform, but she only gave him $300 for his services.
“I never DJed for her again. But I wish her the best.” He claims that he didn’t mean any shade with his comments, he was just wondering why she hasn’t released a studio album since 2001.
“You don’t hear her no more and I just asked why. But…whatever.”
Meanwhile during the TBC interview Pooh kept it cool answering the question about what happened to Brown, saying she “just fell back a little bit” after becoming a mother.
Pooh via TBC:
“Hopefully we will see or hear from her soon.”
He also said hearing issues played a major part to her taking somewhat a time away from music.
