Jadakiss has a few surprises this year which includes a new album and the long-awaited documentary on The LOX!
Vibe mag sat down with Kiss at the Roc Nation Brunch, where he opened up about his plans for the year such as his new album IGNATIUS. The album drops on Feb. 28, this will be Kiss’ fith solo album and is named after his late manager Ignatius “Icepick Jay” Jackson, who died in 2017. The first single “Kisses To The Sky,” features Rick Ross and singer-songwriter Emanny.
The songs is actually a tribute to Jada’s previous work like his debut studio album Kiss tha Game Goodbye (2001), Kiss Of Death (2004) and The Last Kiss (2009).
With new music about to drop, Kiss shared the status of The LOX’s long awaited documentary. The Originally film was done back in 2018 but never released and Kiss is ready for the world the humanity side of the rap artists.
“[It’s about] showing people some side of The LOX you never get to see,” he said. “You only know us as rappers but it shows [stories of] fatherhood, with our children and family moments. The things you see off stage.”
The group also just celebrated the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album, We Are The Streets recently. Reaching No. 5 on the Billboard 200 album chart in 2000, thanks to the album club singles, “Ryde or Die B***h” and “Wild Out.”
“As a rapper to have a career that spans 20 plus years in this particular game is a blessing. You just have to appreciate it and take no moment for granted.”
What he didn’t say is if the doc will touch on being screwed over by Bad Boy’s CEO, Sean P. Diddy Combs!
