FBI agents claim they caught a coronavirus solution salesman, (a SoCal man who alleges he had a cure, and to make matters worse, he used Magic Johnson’s name to try to pull the wool over potential investors.
Are we surprised tho?!
FBI agents arrested Keith Lawrence Middlebrook this past Wednesday evening in an undercover sting. The feds claim Middlebrook hand delivered the pills to an agent who was posing as a investor.
Middlebrook alleges to have created a “patent-pending cure” that would keep people from getting infected with the virus, and he also claims he treated those already who was suffering from COVID-19.
According to the feds, Middlebrook solicited funds from investors with promises of huge profits from his company, Quantum Prevention CV. For example, the FBI claims he told a cooperating witness that a $1 million investment would turn into $200 to $300 million, rapidly.
He also allegedly dropped Magic Johnson’s name to at least one potential investor with claims Magic was on his board of directors. The feds actually checked with Magic, who confirmed he did not know Middlebrook or had any knowledge of his “company.”
Guess it’s safe to say that Middlebrook was not aware of Attorney General William Barr’s warning this week, during his White House briefing, telling the world that the feds would come down hard on anyone trying to financially gain money surrounding the Rona pandemic.
Middlebrook has been charged with wire fraud, which can get a max sentence of 20 years in prison.
Trying to bring a successful business man down!
What’s your 2 cents?!
