‘Glee’ star Naya Rivera is presumed dead of possible drowning after her 4-year-old son was found floating alone in a rental boat, alone on Lake Piru in Southern California.
The actress was said to have arrived at the lake around 1pm and rented the boat, taking her young son along for a ride according to reports.
Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies found Rivera’s son in the boat a little before 5 pm and according to them her son, Josey Hollis Dorsey, said his mom had jumped in the water and he was able to get back in the boat…but his mom did not come back up.
Ventura County Sheriff’s tweeted yesterday evening:
“Happening now: Search for a possible drowning victim at Lake Piru.”
At this point, a rescue team including drivers are searching the lake for Naya early this morning, but so far there is still no sign of the ‘Glee’ star.
According to Fox 11 in Los Angeles, Rivera’s G-Wagon Mercedes was found in the parking lot near the boat rental company, with very important items still inside, including her purse.

According to TMZ, Rivera’s life jacket was still in the boat and her son was asleep in the boat when it was first found. Josey was not harmed and now with family.
On Tuesday, Naya tweeted a picture of her and Josey with the caption, “just the two of us.”
Prayers up for Naya and her family.
Story still developing.
